It has been another super cold week here and, I have to admit, I’m counting down the days till we get to Spring Break and some sunshine. Although we have weeks of winter left to go, I’m already getting very ready to trade out my UGGs for sandals (or at least sneakers I can wear without getting snow in them). Fortunately, we do have warm weather plans coming up
There are a few brands out there that really make me think of spring and summer, and Sail to Sable is definitely one of them. Not that they don’t also make amazing sweaters, but I just always love their spring and summer tunics, dresses and tops. Their resort collection is so pretty and has lots of pops of turquoise and
Sail to Sable Warm Weather Winter Vacation Outfits for Moms
Outfit 1: Dressed Up For a Family Dinner
This dress is a classic Sail to Sable silhouette and this minty color maxi is so pretty for vacation and you’ll surely wear it all summer long. The cotton/linen fabric has a nice bit of stretch to it so it’s easy to move and it’s such a flattering, comfortable fit!
I love wearing maxi dresses, but even more so when we’ve got dinners and events with the boys. I can bend over to pick up Dylan or clean up the crayons that will inevitably all end up under the table at dinner and I won’t worry about flashing anyone or be constantly adjusting. I also really love that this dress has short sleeves. I’m not quite summer-ready with my arms, so I felt really confident with a little extra coverage in that area!
Outfit 2: Date Night
On all of our vacations, we do our best to fit in a date night or grown-ups night out. We have a sitter we always hire at Disney, so we’ll know definitely be able to count on one night out without the boys!
When we do these dinners on vacations, we tend to try somewhere new, fun and often fairly casual. I thought this dress (which also comes in blue!) was perfect for a date night dinner. I don’t tend to wear a lot of white when we’re out with the boys, really just to avoid getting upset if something gets stained so I’ll take date night as an excuse to break out some favorite white dresses. This dress is also perfect for slightly cooler nights and I could see wearing it quite a bit at the lake this coming summer.
I paired it with sneakers because I love sneakers with fun and flirty little dresses like this (and just about everything else). But you could totally wear some wedges or sandals to dress it up even more!
Outfit 3: Casual Daytime or Cooler Evening
While I’m not opposed to wearing white jeans in the winter, I don’t do it very often here when we’ve got a foot of snow on the ground. I will, however, always bring them on vacation!
Even warm destination vacation weather seems a little iffy these days (anyone get the freeze in Florida this week?) This sweatshirt is the perfect vacation weight. You could wear it at home right now with a tee or button-down underneath but it is perfect with jeans or shorts on vacation for cooler nights and mornings, especially. It also comes in shades of blue, which is really pretty.
