Bold hair accessories are honestly a trend that I really never saw myself getting into, but here we are. I definitely got “influenced” on this one. When I saw people on Instagram wearing these super pretty beaded Lele Sadoughi headbands, I had to try one for myself.
I have a lot of hair so I wasn’t positive headbands would work that well for me. They usually don’t fit my head or I feel like I look totally ridiculous. But I have to say, I’m surprised by how well I actually like wearing one – and by how comfortable they are! As a mom, as someone who works out frequently and as someone who doesn’t want to do her hair every day (anyone else relate to this?), throwing on a headband has been a great way to look put together when you’re just barely making it out the door.
I also really got into liking hair clips more recently, as well. Because my hair is so thick, it’s really more fashion over function. I like throwing these in when I have my hair in a low bun as just an extra accessory to dress up the usual jeans and a tee or sweater to just jazz things up a bit.

When it comes to the big beaded headbands, I truly do love the Lele Sadoughi styles. Now, are they expensive? Yes, they are. But they’re really amazing quality so if that’s within your budget, I say go for it. On the other hand, you can find so many great budget-friendly options like this beaded headband from BaubleBar or this rhinestone style at BURU.
