When we went to our grad school reunion at Notre Dame a couple of weeks ago, we were so excited to have tickets to the game and see the newly redone stadium. The game wasn’t all that exciting because Notre Dame won by like 57 points but we loved getting to see the new stadium and really just experience the excitement of the game live and in person for the first time in a long time!
Since the last time we had gone to a game (before we had Dylan), rules had changed on what you could bring in. Last time, I brought in a pretty good sized diaper bag with everything I assumed Jackson could ever possibly need in a 2 hour period. He needed none of it, but that’s beside the point.
Now it’s all about clear gameday bags and apparently they’re not as easy to find as I thought. Hampton Road Designs sent me this gameday bag over the summer and my initial thought was that it would be a great bag for Disney. You have to go through security and I usually carry a Truffle pouch in the stroller to speed up my time in line. Now that I’m not carrying a diaper bag, the Hampton Road bag seemed perfect! I still plan on taking it to Disney, but I got to test drive it at Notre Dame Stadium and it truly is the perfect clear gameday bag!
Clear Gameday Bag Review:
First up, let’s talk style! The style bag I have is called the Zuma and it comes in several colors so if you’re looking for a team to match, you’ll certainly be able to do it. I loved the gold because it was pretty neutral for me and also felt a little bit glam. The strap is an upgraded guitar strap made of material that was created in the Netherlands for Christian Dior. It is comfortable to wear, it’s luxe and sturdy and so beautiful in person. Without a doubt, this is an elevated clear gameday bag if I ever saw one!
And now onto function! I loved the bucket style bag because I figured it would give me more than enough room to carry everything I needed for the day. I tried to keep it light with sunglasses, a smaller wallet and a pouch with my makeup essentials. Now, by the end of the day, I ended up with several other pairs of sunglasses and my own rolled up sweatshirt in the bag – it worked great!
The one thing I wondered about was how well things would stay put because there isn’t a top closure on the bag. I had zero problem with this and believe me, we were walking, dancing and bouncing all over the place over the day I wore it at Notre Dame. I know it’ll work well for Disney too, since I plan to take it on rides and such.
