3 Ways to Wear: Theory Jacket

Does it seem like forever ago that everyone was talking about the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale? Well, it kind of was. The problem with the sale for me is that you can’t wear what you buy for a few months, since it’s all fall stuff in the heat of the summer.

I decided that instead of buying more less expensive items from the sale, that I was going to splurge. So that meant I bought one thing from the sale and it was this Theory jacket. If we’re being completely honest, I bought it because Meghan Markle wore a similar style a few months earlier and I remember really liking it on her, so I was inspired and had to have it.

I’ve worn it a few times now and the jacket has great stretch to it, it’s really comfortable and it’s really nice that you can wear it in several different ways. I used to work in a business casual (we could wear jeans) office, and it would have been completely appropriate for me to wear there. The off-shoulder boatneck isn’t so wide that it’s revealing and it stays in place really well, also.

The pants and booties that I paired with the jacket for look one are probably the biggest reason I like this way so much. They are two styles that I wear often and I really feel like they go with everything. I’d wear this for a work day at home or in meetings and I’ve also changed it up by wearing black pumps with it for dinner.

Now that white jeans are seasonless, why not pair them with a fall jacket? I’d actually also wear this one with my white booties, opening the jacket and wearing a black turtleneck underneath.

The headband is back! If you’re going to get this headband, it’s worth finding a lot of outfits to wear it with. I think it’s a great way to dress up an outfit with jeans and I loved the pop of fall with burgundy in these shoes.
