I hope you all had a great weekend! Our 80 degree weather came back (which I know my Houston friends are saying “Umm that’s nothing!” right now!) so while it didn’t feel like fall, we tried our best to make it seem like fall. We decorated a bit, and you’ll see some of that on the blog tomorrow, and spent Sunday morning at the apple farm with the boys. We were shooting some blog content for Pure Michigan, which you’ll see soon, and the boys loved being a part of that – I’m assuming that’s because donuts were involved.
So now that things are looking like fall, I REALLY want to start dressing for it too. Since school started, I’ve been really focusing on actually getting dressed for the day. I’ve been looking for pieces that I can pull together for outfits that are comfortable when I’m working at home and so I look put together at school pickup.
This week I’ve got two outfits to share with you and both of them include mixing up some pieces from the latest Talbots fall collection. The collection is London-themed, which I loved, and there were so many great pieces to mix and match. Aside from these two posts this week, I think you’ll be seeing these pieces pop up more throughout the season, so stay tuned for more ways to style them!
I picked this sweater because, honestly, it reminded me of a dress someone wore at the Royal Wedding. Oh yeah, I’m still into that. Plus I love that it’s got a preppy feel and would be so cute with jeans or over a dress too.
I also have to tell you about these shoes! They’re a lower, block heel and they are insanely comfortable. I love the little touch of gold at the toe and the suede is such a pretty color – but they also come in a couple of other colors too.
