This post should really be “post-vacation blues” since we are on our way home from Canada today. We have had so much fun on our trip to Toronto and Niagara Falls this past weekend, so we’re definitely going to plan another trip back. I’ll be doing a post here pretty soon on the itinerary from our trip and some amazingly good family-friendly finds for activities and restaurants.
It’s a busy week ahead and I’m excited to be welcoming my friend Morgan and her family into town at the end of the week. We’ll be hosting a BURU Pop Up Shop at my client, Tondue Medical Spa, on Saturday and if you are local we would LOVE to see you. Both the spa and BURU are going to have special promos for the event so please come! It’s going to be so much fun – and I saw a little preview on the BURU Instagram of some new pieces that are going to be here when they get here! Hopefully this helps kick off my “give up summer and start fall shopping.”
Before I go too far down that road, today’s post includes a few of my favorite summer pieces. I can’t tell you how much I’ve actually worn these white pumps. When I first got them I thought they were so bright and WAY too out there for me, but they were comfortable so I kept them. I truly really like them with so many outfits and I’m glad I got them. Nine West makes them in several colors so I’d like to get another pair or two, maybe in just a simple nude and leopard for fall – I love a good leopard heel and don’t currently have one!
This dress is Hunter Bell and unfortunately it is sold out now, but if you like it, I encourage you to check out her website for some other pieces that have the same vibe. This Kendall Dress is great and would transition to fall well with a leather jacket, the Kelly Dress is the same pretty lavender blue color as the one I’m wearing, and Parker jumpsuit is a perfect match if you want to recreate this look!
And if we’re talking about things I’d gladly buy in another color: these Mignonne Gavigan earrings. I bought them for one specific outfit but I have worn them a lot since I got them last year. They come in a ton of colors (and they’re always coming out with new ones), they’re light weight and they’re a pretty subtle statement earring without being a dramatic drop or too much sparkle. One of the top items on my birthday list (which is MONTHS away still) is one of the Mignonne Gavigan scarf necklaces.
Well I’ve got a day of driving and laundry ahead of me, so I hope you all have a great start to your week!
