I really thought I’d get in a full week of 5 blog posts last week. Well, work got crazy with launching a fun new client campaign, Jackson was off of school and I ended up spending the whole day with him doing fun errands and activities on Friday and those last two blog posts just didn’t happen. I sort of wonder if the days of 5 posts a week are gone, at least for now. Maybe something to strive for?
At the end of the week, I took a look at the calendar and also realized how close we are to the 4th of July and all of the fun, travel and style that goes along with it, so what better time than to share some outfit ideas with you? We have a few different things planned for the week of the 4th, including at least a couple of parties, fireworks and a parade.
I’m all for a good theme and this is outfit 1 of 3 that I’ve got ready for the celebrations (the boys each have two outfits – maybe I overdid it?). Let’s start with the fact that this striped shirt is awesome. I wore it with white jeans over Memorial Day and it is so comfortable, fits SO well and I just freaking love it. Just trust me, I’m not one for a hard sell here, but you’ll want it, need it and, truthfully, you have to have it.
The skirt is super cute too and the fun detail is perfect for the holiday. It is only left in XS (I’m wearing a small), but as other options, this red skirt is great, these blue shorts are fun and you can always do white jeans. All of those options are under $100 and are great summer style buys!
For the Kids
I haven’t dressed the boys in their little outfits yet, but I will try to share them on Instagram when I have them all washed up and ironed. I did casual and more dressed up looks for them, and the more dressed up looks are also what they’re going to be wearing for our family photos. And, of course, they’re matching! Oh and I couldn’t find a photo but Jackson also picked out USA socks from the dollar bins at Target last week, so I can’t wait to see them in those too!
