4th of July Style

Apparently I’m into the 4th of July this year. It’s always a fun holiday, but I may be taking it to another level this year!

On Friday I ordered some things from Oriental Trading for decorating the house and my dad’s Gem Car for the festivities up at the lake, as well a this little treasure box which will keep the kids occupied for hours. If you’ve never ordered one of these, it’s amazing! I did it last year and the boys were fascinated by it – and for $20 you can’t beat it!

I plan on wearing this outfit (but probably with flat shoes) to one of the family parties we’re going to over the holiday week. I have to tell you that this dress surprised me in a good way. It’s heavier in weight than you might expect, which I thought was a good thing because it doesn’t cling or lay funky. And the embroidery is really pretty in person, it looks and feels much more expensive than it is! It actually reminds me of this Ulla Johnson dress that I saw and loved last summer.

For another outfit idea, check out this post from last week with the striped shirt you HAVE TO HAVE!

Well I’m off to entertain Jackson for the day, since he doesn’t start his next camp until tomorrow. This camp life is exhausting. Mama is going to be ready for a vacation next week!

I hope you have a great Monday!
