I’ve mentioned it before but I’m really terrible about taking outfit photos on our Disney trips. I always shop for them and plan outfits but quite frankly our hands are always so full that I forget to take time to photograph them. This time I did a little bit better and also figured that I’d take a little pressure off and just share some of our vacation photos, unedited, and maybe a little more fun.
What to Wear at Disney World: Pool Days
I never really saw the day where I’d be posting bathing suit photos here on the blog but here we go! I got new swim suits for the first time in a few years for this trip and I was pretty excited about it. One of my girlfriends and I had a great time shopping at Lilly Pulitzer a month or so ago and I actually bought two suits that day. One of them was this blue lace up one piece which I loved wearing! I also bought my first bikini in probably 4 years, which was exciting. I didn’t take photos the day I wore it but you”ll have to trust me that it’s a good one. By the way, I didn’t know how awesome underwire in a bathing suit could be. And side note – I’ve never actually owned any Lilly until this point but I think I’m hooked (I mean how cute are these shorts for the boys too?!)!
I also have this cute suit from Cabana Life, which is perfect for pool days with the boys (who both got this matching set from Cabana Life). I also paired this one with a rash guard, which I like doing for some extra sun coverage.
Cabana Life for the boys is my favorite because it holds up SO well with lots of pool playtime and summer sun. I also feel good about the UPF coverage in the pieces, so that’s always the first brand I look to when I shop swimwear for the boys.
What to Wear at Disney World: Dressed Up
It was so nice to get into summery dresses on this trip! Winter has lasted far too long this year! Starting with my Lilly Pulitzer shopping spree, I got this cute printed dress and cashmere wrap. The dress is awesome on its own and will be so good running around with the boys this summer. I got a little matchy and wore it with my Jack Rogers sandals, which I always forget about but love every time I wear. The exact wrap I wore is sold out now, but there are a lot of pretty options still available!
For Easter brunch I wore this absolutely beautiful dress from Mirth Caftans. I got so many questions about it on Instagram and it’s just as great in person as you see in the photos. It is half lined so its airy and light, but no need for a slip or Spanx. I love everything they have for Spring, so I really want to pick up another caftan or dress….or shorts, or a top. You get it, I’m a fan.
Clint and I got a date night dinner while we were at Disney and we chose to go to Art Smith’s Homecomin’ at Disney Springs. We hadn’t ever been over there (last time I was there, it was Pleasure Island and thankfully it has changed since then!), so it was fun to check it out, have dinner quietly and do a little shopping. I wore this Stylekeepers dress that I found at Last Call and people were literally stopping me to ask me about it. One thing I will say is that there’s some major side boob with it, so if you’re not into that, wear it with bandeau or get some tape! OH and last thing, if you want one that’s almost identical, try this one at BURU.
And finally for grown ups dinner, I wore this set from BURU White Label. It’s crazy cute and comfortable, and the crop is even really easy to wear. I also got this white turquoise necklace from Mad Jewels and I have found that it’s been a great one to wear with lots of outfits.
What to Wear at Disney World: Park Days
For most of our park days this trip, we went SUPER casual. Clint got a bunch of new things from Mack Weldon (which you should check out if you’re shopping for guys’ clothes) and I found so many great things at Athleta. I did this top and these shorts in matching jade green, and this was maybe my favorite athleisure look. The top is open in the back and has UPF 50 so it was a great one to wear. It also wasn’t too hot, which was my concern but it worked out well. I did this long sleeve top, as well and found that it was a good one for hot days. I wore it with silver shorts that were really fun and
We also had one rainy, slightly chilly day and I didn’t photograph it but I wore this jacket and it was awesome – perfect for spring days!
The one day I knew we’d have photos was the day we met Mickey and had a tour planned, so I dressed up a bit more. I wore this Ulla Johnson romper (also love this dress) and it is SO cute! I love the detail on the strap and how it criss-crosses in the back. I even got super splashed on Splash Mountain and it dried quickly with no problem! It’s a crazy wearable piece I know I’m going to get a lot of use out of. I’m going to transition it more to “pre-spring” up here by layering with this sweater I just bought at Anthropologie.
So that’s it! If you have questions on anything else you saw me wear, or are looking for recommendations or thoughts or things I didn’t mention, let me know!
