Shop Your Closet January

A couple of weeks ago I proposed the idea of “Shop Your Closet January” on my Instagram story. I got an overwhelming response of YES! to do this series this month so I’m excited to be bringing it to you.

For me, this came from what seemed to be an overindulgent holiday season. I just felt like we were spending and shopping so much more than usual and I really got “over” shopping. I love clothes and I have a lot of them, and I should wear more of them more often. So my goal for this series is to show you what I’m wearing from my closet (with minimal shopping!) and how often I wear certain things in different ways.

Here’s how it’s going to work. I’ll be sharing some flat lays and actual outfits on my Instagram every day, using LikeToKnow. It (you can also follow me on the app) to provide links. If you hate LikeToKnow. It or just don’t use it, I’ve also created a new page on the blog for everything Instagram and Instagram stories. Also, if you have a question, DM me, E-mail me or message me on Facebook. I’m good about responding and am always happy to share outfit details!

On Tuesday, I talked to you all about my style resolutions and mentioned everyday outfits. I’ve kind of totally sucked at posting those on Facebook and don’t have the highly coveted “swipe up” feature on Instagram yet, but I think that’s the best way to show you what I’m wearing from my closet so every Thursday this month I’ll be sharing my outfits from the previous week in my blog post. I’m starting today, so check in next week for a round up!

The 5 key pieces for me this month + January Style Goal

Judging from what my calendar looks like right now, I know I have a busy month ahead. I also foresee a lot of computer time for writing, planning, blogging, etc. So my goal for January is to be comfortably casual and put together, and NOT always in athleisure wear. I have a couple of cute sweatshirts that I can easily layer with a button-down or wear with jeans and some fun earrings to dress them up a bit.

Now I need to ask you all for your feedback! What do you want to see from this series? How would you prefer for me to share my outfits?

And do you use/like LikeToKnow. It? Or would you just prefer me to share everyday outfits on my blog like this?

All of your thoughts and feedback are appreciated, whether positive, negative or otherwise!

My vote would be your blog!

I’m trying to spend less to hopefully no time on social media and instead fill my screen time hours reading content.
