Sephora Product Review

I have a handful of beauty posts that have been a long time coming and this is the first one to make it to completion! The main reason is that I made a new rule for myself. I do get sent quite a few products but I wanted to work on testing them all out for 2-4 weeks before making a decision on whether or not I liked them and THEN share them here or on Instagram.

So, that being said, a little over a month ago was the big Sephora VIB sale. I don’t often shop at Sephora, but I had a few things on my makeup wish list and I liked them even more at 15% off. Now, I will tell you that the shipping on my order was very delayed. I’m not sure if it’s always slow, or if this had to do with the sale and just influx of orders, but it took maybe a week or so to even ship.

When I did finally get my order, I absolutely LOVED everything that I ordered. Two of the items were new and two of them were re-stocks, but I’m excited to tell you about all of them and why they were all wins for me.

The New-to-Me Products

First up is this super pretty Urban Decay Naked Heat palette. This was my first ever Urban Decay product and it was a hit. I love the color range in the palette and I think you could do so many different eye shadow looks with it. I find that the product also stays really well and lasts all day. My favorite shades to use are: Low Blow, He Devil, Ashes, Chaser and Ounce.

Next, is the Huda Beauty Lip Contour Kit. I really suck at contouring my face but I figured I could probably figure out how to do my lips! The color I picked was a soft nude but there are a few other shades, as well. The kit comes with a liner pencil, which you use first to line your lips and slightly fill in the outer corners of your lips. Then, use the darker liquid matte lipstick, ending with the lighter shade just in the middle for an ombre look. It sounds like it’s a little bit of a dramatic look but it actually is very natural and just a fun little change.

The Restocks

My go-to everyday “foundation” has become this IT Cosmetics CC cream. It has SPF 50, is super light but is also full coverage. I received one tube of this in a press package a while back and it immediately became a favorite of mine, so much so that I’ve gone back and purchased it on my own. I was wearing Medium in the summer but bought Light for this time of year and I may actually continue with it and just warm up my complexion with bronzer moving forward. I do also highly recommend buying the brush to go with this product. I’ve used my fingers, as well as a normal foundation brush and I don’t like the finish as much as I do when I use their more “buffing” style brush to apply.

This IT Cosmetics Superhero mascara is one of my top 2 mascaras that I have ever tried. The other is this Trish McEvoy mascara that’s definitely worth the purchase, as well. I love the IT cosmetics because it really adds length and volume to your lashes. It is fantastic and I could not highly recommend it enough! I’m planning to start using a lash serum again in January so I can’t wait to see how fabulous my lashes look once the results of that + this mascara combine!

And tune into my Instagram tonight (12/19) at 8:30 PM where I’ll do an IG Live to show you more about these products and why I love them, as well as answer any questions!
