I used to do regular, monthly “beauty update” posts but I got out of that habit (as happens with series posts around here all too often), and I realized that I hadn’t done one in quite some time. So in today’s post I though I’d share some of the products I’ve been using and LOVING lately. All of these products are really great for transitioning your beauty routine into fall!
Artis “The Digit” Brushes // I’ve always thought that the Artis brushes were really cool but I also thought my old brushes were “fine” and never took the time to replace them. Artis sent me this Digit Collection and I have to say, after using it for a while now, there’s NO turning back! The brushes themselves are really soft and I was really impressed by the way they apply product. Everything goes on smoothly, blends softly and there’s none of that “fall out,” especially from eyeshadows. I also have the cleanser and cleaning pad, which I’m using regularly to keep these in good shape! This set of 5 is a great way to start with Artis (and the case is really nice). I’m definitely interested in adding a few more brushes too.
Bobbi Brown Eye Shadow (in Camel) // I’m starting to sort of warm up my makeup look for fall and this is one of my favorites. This Bobbi Brown eye shadow in Camel is a great base color for creating fall looks. It’s great on it’s own but is also is a great start to creating a warm, smoky eye look. I’ve been pairing it with this eye base (in Perle) and this eyeliner (in black) most often lately.
IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Undereye // Can you say miracle product? They call it “8 Hours of Sleep in a Tube” and I completely agree. This is a fairly new addition to my makeup routine but I’m pretty sure I will never live without it again. You need the tiniest amount and it covers and brightens your under eye area. I use my beauty blender to lightly press this into my skin before applying my foundation. I also just saw that they have an “Eye Illumination” version of this with a little more radiance and I REALLY want to try that too!
Slip Silk Pillowcase // Before I got one of these pillowcases, I had heard a lot about sleeping on them. You hear that they are good for your skin, your hair and just about everything else. I wasn’t all that sure if they would be comfortable, but I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised. So far, I will say that I do wake up with better (less messy) hair and you really don’t wake up with sleep lines on your face! My other concern was that it would get warm sleeping on silk but it actually stays pretty cool and it doesn’t stick to you or anything like that at all. I’m a pretty big fan!
IT Cosmetics Superhero Mascara // This is my absolute new favorite mascara! I’m almost done with the tube that I have and I love it. It really does extend your lashes, make them look longer, thicker and better. I will say that this one gets better with use. When I got it, I found that it was pretty wet and I had to wipe product off of the brush so it wouldn’t be clumpy. However, after a few uses (maybe a week or so), it was PERFECT! I also found that it doesn’t flake or anything and lasts strong all day!
Le Metier de Beaute Detoxifying Charcoal & Coconut Mask // This product isn’t yet available but it was in the VIP box I helped curate with Le Metier de Beaute last month (see more about that here!). While you’re waiting on this one, I highly recommend this Le Metier de Beaute Glow 10ai Mask!
These three products make up my current favorite nude lip look. I wanted to start wearing lip liner again to create more of a polished look, and I do like to do that when I’m wearing these products for a workday or for photos. On “off days” sometimes I’ll skip the liner, but I’m finding that I really like the look and I wear it more than I expected.
