The “Magic Dress” and Fringe Sweater

Happy Monday! I hope you all had a great weekend! I’m feeling super positive to start this week. Yesterday we spent the better part of the morning doing meal prep for the week, as well as wrapping up laundry and even starting to decorate the house for fall. I absolutely love starting the week without a “house to do list” and that’s exactly what we’re doing today. So today I plan to spend the day in my office, catching up on work and doing some holiday planning for the blog and my clients, and I also plan to start the Peloton fall challenge, which kicks off today.

The last few days around here have been ridiculously hot and NOT at all feeling like fall. And that’s pretty much the opposite of what we all want right now. Hopefully that’s about to change.

The outfit I’m wearing today is perfect for that transitional time into fall. I saw this whole outfit on the Duffield Lane Instagram and had to have it! Some of the girls at the Duffield Lane boutique in Grand Rapids call this the “magic dress” and I completely agree. It’s super flattering and really comfortable! I wore it for a full day of meetings (after we shot these photos!) and it didn’t wrinkle and I loved it.

The sweater is a super soft cashmere blend and it is going to be an amazing layer for fall and winter. I’m excited to wear it with jeans and layered over plaid shirts when it gets colder.

My goal this fall is to show you the pieces of my outfits worn in several different ways, so expect to see this dress and sweater both here on the blog and on Facebook as part of “Everyday Outfits.”

Have a great Monday!
