4th of July Outfit Guide

Can you believe that the 4th of July is just over two weeks away already? Where is this summer going? Part of me wants to slow it down before kindergarten starts for Jackson and the craziness starts again, but then again I’m not sure it ever stopped so let’s just keep going!

You all know how much I love putting together outfit guides for holidays and I couldn’t resist putting one together for the 4th of July this year. We’ll be spending the 4th of July up at the lake and we’ve got a few things on our schedule including a family party, parade, beach time and fireworks watching.

For this holiday outfit guide, I went with a color theme (only appropriate!) and the looks range from very casual to dressy and are also mixed up from pants to dresses so that you might find some inspiration that best fits your plans and the climate where you live.

Wear Red

I don’t wear a lot of red but I loved going for an all-red look for the 4th of July. These shorts from Talbots are super comfortable and would also be cute paired with a chambray shirt or even this cute floral top

Shop the Look: Talbots Shorts, Shell and Sweater c/o // Similar earrings // Gucci Bag // Marc Fisher Shoes // Kendra Scott Necklace // Lip Color: YSL Rouge Pur Couture in Le Nu

Wear White

This dress is the perfect LWD for summer! It’s light and airy, so it’s great for hot summer days. As far as sizing, I’m wearing a medium to give me a little more room in my hips and the fit was perfect. I loved adding some fun blue accessories, especially this super on-trend woven bag and a bit of sparkle in my earrings.

Shop the Look: BURU Zenia Dress c/o (I’m wearing a M in this) // Jack Rogers Sandals // Clare V Bag // Mignonne Gavigan Earrings // Lip Color: Leslie Perry Cosmetics Mutzie with Disco Gloss // The Ultimate Cuff (Diana in Gold)

Wear Blue

If you’ve got a fancier 4th of July party like we do, this Abbey Glass top is exactly what you need! It is super lightweight and the fabric is absolutely gorgeous. I felt super glam in this look but also thought about pairing the top with some denim shorts to remix the look a bit.

Shop the Look: Abbey Glass Top o/l // J.Crew Pixie Pants // Lisi Lerch Earrings // Kelly Wynne Clutch (similar) // Lip Color: Clinique Berry Pop // J.Crew Heels (also love these) // Kendra Scott Necklace
