“So, are you ready for Christmas?” I swear, it seems to be the first question anyone asks lately. And, truth be told, I’m at least slightly lying when I answer with “Yes, absolutely! We’re almost done.” Let’s call it slightly lying because we’re almost done with the “thinking about what we’re going to do for the boys” part of Christmas, but as far as action is concerned, we’re not quite there.
Our house has been decorated for several weeks, earlier than usual, but I find myself putting a lot of thought into gift shopping for the boys. As our first Christmas with the two of them, I’ve found that I’m concerned about making things even and fair (although, seriously who’s counting other than me?) but also making sure we’re getting the right things from their (Jackson’s) wish list. I hear this is pretty normal with more than one child, which makes me feel a little bit better, but I’m hoping to at least cross a few more things off of the to do list over this weekend. Their matching Christmas PJs came the other day, so that’s off to a good start!
Let’s talk about my shopping-ready look.
This Lilla P sweater is so cozy and I love layering it. The tunic length is perfect with leggings and it also looks great with a white or light plaid button-down shirt. When it comes to accessories, this Vera Bradley crossbody (which is currently on sale!) is one of my favorites from their latest collection. It’s the cutest little bag and is perfect for keeping you hands-free when shopping.
And the boots. Oh the boots. I bought these Stuart Weitzman 5050 boots last winter and hardly got to wear them. My pregnancy ankles were so swollen that I could get them on but needed help taking them off. This year I’m making up for that and I’ve found that these were a great investment for me. If you’re not looking to make the splurge, fortunately, there are SO many great dupes out there for under $200 and I’ve listed a few of them below.
