Do you all remember Lip Venom and those other products that promised to puff up your lips? They’d make your lips all tingly and a bit swollen, so they kinda sorta worked. That takes me back to high school/college a bit when more was definitely more when it came to makeup.
These days, I’m of the feeling that more is only more when it comes to lips and lashes, and I’ve been using a new products for both. The lash product is really new in my routine, so I don’t have results to share yet, but I do want to talk about the lip product I’ve been loving.
I’ve had this Le Metier de Beaute Lip Serum for a couple of months now, and it has become one of my go-to products. I keep it in my bag when I’m out and about, and I find myself applying a few times a day. It’s called Hydra Plump Lip Serum and I actually got to test a lab sample last September when my friend, and Global Director of Skincare of LMdB, was in store at Neiman Marcus.
Now that the product is available to purchase, I like it even better! It basically feels like a super moisturizer for your lips. The texture is light and almost like a lotion that absorbs quickly and has no taste or smell. It also doesn’t make your lips tingle, but you will notice that your lips look fuller and smoother.
When I don’t wear makeup, which is pretty often, I just wear this on its own. But if you do wear lip color, you can wear it under or over your lip color. In my experience, if you wear it underneath, I’d let it absorb and almost dry a bit before you apply your color.
Speaking of color, I also wanted to share a color combo that I’ve been loving lately! I’ve been using the Le Metier de Beaute Dualistic Lip Pencil (in Rose or Reign) as both a liner and coloring in my lips – both lightly. I’ll then cover with the LMdB Lip Creme Lip Gloss in Creme de La Creme. It creates a really pretty, not too dark look that’s perfect for everyday glam!
