If you follow me on Instagram or Snapchat (ninarand), you’ll see that we are on our annual fall trip to Walt Disney World. In my opinion, October is one of the very best times to visit Disney World! We are here to celebrate Halloween at Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween party and enjoy the Epcot Food & Wine Festival – which I was pregnant for last year, so I’ll be doing a little extra “enjoying” this time!
For those of you who are newer readers, I have to tell you that Disney holds a very special place in our family’s hearts. I’ve grown up coming here and Clint and I were married at Disney World in 2010.
We come here at least once a year, but I haven’t blogged about it a whole lot. I’m planning to share a few more posts about our trip, our favorites and some tips/tricks we’ve learned along the way. If you are interested in something specific, I’d love if you would leave me a comment and I will do my best to post about it!
So let’s start with what to pack! When it comes to park wear, I first thought I’d want to look cute in photos, but honestly I’m in very few of them because the pictures are always about the kids, and should be! I also swore I’d never be one of those moms at the park in workout clothing, but let’s just call it the “athleisure” trend because that’s absolutely been the best way to go for me. This time it has been even better because I’ve planned to put Dylan in our ErgoBaby carrier and I don’t want to get annoyed adjusting a “cute top.” The way I look at it is that I want to look nice and put together (at least coordinating!), but I want to be comfortable and able to enjoy the day without worrying about what I’m wearing. If I do wear something other than workout clothes, I pick a flowy dress (like this one) that will be light, and easy to wear for climbing on and off of rides – and also goes well with sneakers!
We do always plan for a grown-ups dinner, so we get a little break to dress up and enjoy some quiet time sans kids (yes!).
