Happy Monday! We are kicking off yet another busy week around here, as we are getting ready to head out of town. It will be our first big trip as a family of four and Dylan’s first flight, so I’ve got some serious anxiety about it.
Jackson has always been such an easy traveler. Once he gets a snack (or three) and a movie, he’s good to go and barely makes a peep. I’m hoping that things will be the same with Dylan! I plan to bring my Ergo360 carrier to the airport to carry him around and I may even keep him in it for the flight (I’ve seen people do this and it looks like it works). If you have some good tips for traveling with two little ones, pass them my way!
So, onto today’s look, which is absolutely going to be in my suitcase this week.
You’ve seen me in this Mirth Caftans dress in a few posts (here and here), but it’s so good that I felt that it deserved a post of its own. This is the perfect casual caftan dress for days of shopping, running errands or a patio lunch date. It’s also a suitcase essential for vacations and would make a great daytime look, as well as a cover-up for the beach or pool. You know how much I love it when a good piece of clothing can really work for you.
With the two styles of caftans I’ve shown you (the other is here), I’ve just become so impressed by the Mirth Caftans line that I can’t stop telling people about it or wearing it. These are seriously high-quality pieces you’ll reach for over and over again!
I also have to tell you about my newest little tote! It is a mini “Carrie” tote by Olive Design. I heard about them from my friend Carrie (for whom the bag is named!) and thought it was absolutely the perfect fun summer bag. Natasha, the super sweet designer at Olive Designs, has several other combinations available, many of which you can see on Instagram. I’ve been wanting a straw tote and Natasha’s were some of the most unique ones that I came across and because each pieces is made by hand, everything is a one of a kind!
