Beauty Update: Spring Beauty Essentials

Beauty Update May 2016

Le Metier de Beaute Vital ET Recovery Boost // Yes, another new Le Metier de Beaute product to share! Get ready, there are lots more coming out so expect to see more soon. This one, Vital ET Recovery Boost, has been really helpful for my skin as I try to get it back to normal post-pregnancy. This is basically a super dose of Vitamin E that is driven into the skin using LMdB’s amazing technology. It is a really moisturizing and healing product. I used it on a terrible reaction to another product and it helped soothe and calm those areas, and I also have put it on after getting my eyebrows waxed for that same reason. Finally, I will just apply it at night if my skin is feeling particularly dull and tired. It’s a fantastic product!

Tula Exfoliating Treatment Mask // I love a good mask and when TULA sent this one along, I was really excited to try it. First of all, I love that this mask only needs to stay on for 5 minutes. That’s about the amount of time I have to shower and get cleaned up at night between the time Dylan goes to bed and when Clint and I start working on putting Jackson to bed and try to settle in ourselves. I found that this was a really nice and gentle exfoliating product. When I washed it off, my skin felt super soft and not tight at all. I just followed up with my usual moisturizer and TULA’s eye cream (which is really nice, especially when you need and extra moisture boost around your eyes).

Jao Hand Refresher // This is the latest addition to my diaper bag! They call this product the “anti” antibacterial and it’s for good reason. I really hate that drying sanitizing stuff in the dispensers everywhere, but this is my new solution to keeping the germs away when I’m on the go. I spray on a little bit and rub my hands together till they’re dry after diaper changing, after the gym or just whenever I’ve been out and about and need a little refresh! This product uses Ethyl Alcohol to kill the germs and then has chamomile, lavender, eucalyptus, tea tree oil, geranium and sage, all of which are freshening and calming.

Tom Ford Cream Cheek Color // I talked about this Tom Ford cheek color back when I discussed Summer beauty at Neiman Marcus, but it’s worth bringing it up for this update post because it’s that good! I have it in Pieno Sole, which is the more golden color (it also comes in a pretty pink called Pink Sand), and as I mentioned before, it’s the perfect finishing product. You use this brush to very lightly blend all over your face and it’s like applying a filter! The texture is super light, as is the shimmer, it’s just enough to make you look fresh faced and dewy. I’ve been wearing it with just my foundation, concealer, blush and mascara for an easy everyday (but slightly glam!) look.
