When I think back on this past year, I have to say that it’s been a roller coaster and I’m very ready to say goodbye 2015 and say hello to a new year. I’m excited about what’s to come with our new addition and all of the new things that are ahead for our family.
We’ll be staying in to ring in 2016, so my actual outfit is likely to be considerably more casual and consist of some stretchy pants, but I wanted to share this outfit as some inspiration for a winter party maternity look that would be perfect for New Year’s Eve. When you’re 34 weeks pregnant, comfort is key and you really can’t go wrong with a great LBD.
This Au Lait dress is SUPER comfortable and it is going to be an incredibly versatile piece in my closet for months to come. It’s actually a dress that you can wear while pregnant or nursing (see how Au Lait designs clothing to make that possible here). When you just look at the simple, sleek style of the dress on its own, it’s easy to dress up and down and I’m happy that it will be easy to look “put together” by throwing on with a pair of flats and a coat to run to doctor’s appointments with the baby or a quick lunch date with Clint. It’s exactly the sort of “stylish mom on the go” look that I’m hoping to accomplish when the baby gets here!
