Best in Beauty: Le Metier de Beaute Neck & Decollete Creme

While I was putting together a beauty update post (which I know I haven’t done in a while), I decided that this one product required a whole post to itself.

A couple of months ago, I met the Global Director of Skincare for Le Métier de Beauté, Hylton Lea, at Neiman Marcus. Aside from being a lovely person to talk with, he was so helpful when it came to learning about products, what to use and how to use it. And one of his tips was never to put a moisturizer on your neck.

What?! Isn’t that against everything we’ve heard? I know I’ve always been told that your neck and hands show age soonest, so moisturize, moisturize, moisturize!

This Neck & Décollete Creme is specifically formulated for the skin in that area. Where your regular facial moisturizer can weigh down that sensitive skin on your neck, this product is formulated specifically to fight skin sagging and improve the overall architecture of your skin – firming and lifting! It also helps with hyperpigmentation, dark spots and all of this combined will create a younger look.

A few of the important tidbits you might want to know:

  • What does the product feel like? It is very, very light and you really don’t need much of it for each application. It’s a smooth cream and after I apply it, I really don’t feel like I’ve just put something on. It absorbs really quickly and is very soft.
  • How does the product smell? When it comes to lotions and creams, this is always something I want to know. This one has a very light, barely-there scent that I would say is maybe like the “unscented” lotion smell. I especially like this about it because I use it in the evening, and over-scented products before bed sort of irritate me (it’s a weird quirk, I know).
  • When/how do you use it?  I use this in the evenings as the very last product I put on before bed. From my collarbone to my jawline, I apply the product moving my hands in an upward motion. One of the tips that I was told by Hylton was to bring the product all the way to the back of my neck. The firming in the back will also show results in the front, so I’m doing that!
  • Have you seen results? I’m sort of using this product as a preventative measure, and also just to get in a good routine of taking care of ALL of my skin. When I do use it, I really do notice the next morning that my skin feels very smooth and moisturized.

I’ve really loved getting to try Le Métier de Beauté’s products, the results have been real and the products themselves just feel awesome when you put them on. I have another one to share with you on my upcoming Beauty Update post, so stay tuned for that. Next on my “To Try” list: their Revive Eye Concentrate and the Ultra Hydration Eye Mask Duo.
