It never fails, at least twice a week Jackson comes home with what appears to be at least half of the playground wood chips in his hair. They say he loves tossing them in the air or crawling after a ball and then rolling around. He’s a boy, I should have expected this to happen. Or how about the days where we’re elbow deep in “washable” paint, stickers and other crafty supplies? Even when we’re on vacation, like we were in the photos above, there’s always room for mess – especially when there is sand involved. So. Much. Sand. The mess is most of the fun, the bath is another big part of the it.
Bath time with Jackson has always been a favorite, fun time that we all participate in. There are songs, bath books, toys (call me crazy but I really want to get these), and lately he’s even been trying out the shower because, if you ask him, he’s a “big boy now.” When he was a newborn, we had this really great 4Moms sink tub that I’d recommend to anyone. It was easy to use, comfortable for baby and also had a really convenient temperature gauge that would let us know when the water was in a “safe zone” that would be comfortable and safe for the baby.
Now that Jackson is a “big boy,” he has a lot more say in what he thinks is comfortable. Bath/shower time these days can be anything from “HOT! HOT! HOT!” (when it actually isn’t) to “I’m too cold, Mommy. I get out.” Mostly it depends on his mood, but to get to clean he has to be happy so we adjust as requested to accommodate. I recently got a little help with this when we added the Delta Faucet Temp2O shower head to our tub. This handy little shower head (which you can install yourself in about 2 minutes) has a temperature gauge on it, much like our infant tub, that shows the exact degree of the water flowing through it on a display. The LED screen that gives you color cues on where the temperature is, blue is below 80 degrees, magenta is between 80 and 110 and red is above 110.
Whether for you or for a little one, the Temp2O line is pretty great! I’m really excited to partner with Delta to give away one of the Temp2O products to a lucky The HSS Feed reader. You get to choose whether you want a shower head or a handheld and also which finish works best with your bathroom. Per usual, use the Rafflecopter widget below to enter by 5:00 PM Eastern time next Tuesday, October 21 and I will notify the winner later that evening.

“Why do people treat mess like it’s a bad thing? It’s actually the evidence of a life well lived. When you’re out there making, creating, doing and playing, embrace your #HappiMess and let Delta kitchen and bath innovations help clean up so you can do it all again tomorrow.”
