A week with Of Mercer

I told you all about Of Mercer awhile back when I learned about the brand in Rue Magazine and really loved the concept of affordable, high-quality, stylish workwear (at a great price point!) that will easily take you from workday to happy hour to weekend. Well, the ladies at Of Mercer and I wanted to show you just how that can be done and to do so, I’ve been wearing the brand all week long and I really love the pieces I’ve worn.
As usual, it’s been a bit of a crazy this week (both weather-wise and with a long to do list), so I started the week of with a couple of meetings and my Kenmare dress. It’s really the perfect, comfortable and flattering LBD. I could easily throw on fancier heels and a pop of color with jewelry and I would wear it to dinner – and it is one that would, without a doubt, make a weekly appearance in my outfit rotation.

The Stanton Dress is the perfect dress for a day of running errands and lunch with the girls. Because it was freezing here (it snowed this week!), I wore it with a pair of boots. In normal spring weather, I would throw on a pair of flats or wedges
For a work day at home, I wore the Houston blazer with ripped up jeans and my favorite Joie tee and added a turban and little pop of color with lipstick. The blazer actually looks great paired with the Kenmare dress, or with a button-down and slim pants for a more formal look.
The weather brightened up a bit later in the week (finally) so a pop of color from the new cobalt Thompson Dress was just what I needed for a couple of appointments, lunch and quick Junior League meeting. I wish I would have had this dress when I was working at the marketing agency back in Houston, it would have been my go-to important meeting dress. The colors, the fit and the zipper details all would have gone perfectly for presentations and client meetings – I probably still need it in at least two colors.
Finally, we planned a much needed date night tonight and I am excited to put together a look with the Carnegie Dress. The subtle bit of sparkle fancies up the dress a bit and I love the neoprene fabric, it’s fitted and comfortable. I plan on pairing with tights (it’s still too cold out!) and heels, but when it warms up, ditching the tights is the way to to go! For daytime, throwing a tweed jacket over this dress would make for a really pretty look.
