I’ve recently been doing a good pre-spring clean out of my beauty drawer and it has felt so good to get rid of things I wasn’t using or that had definitely expired! I also did a little shopping to replace some things that I had run out of, and a few things that were good for a refresh of my makeup colors.
HUDA Beauty New Nude Palette // I first saw this palette back around the holidays when I saw my favorite beauty blogger, Lindsey Regan Thorne, do a glittery holiday look with it. I was a little intimidated by all the glitter but the palette was so pretty and had such a feminine vibe to it that I thought I’d pick it up for spring. It’s really lovely with lots of pinks and plums that wear surprisingly neutrally and soft. I haven’t played with the glitter shades yet, but I’ve found that the matte shades are great for everyday and even deepen well for a more dressed up look!
MAC Lip Combo // This color combination was actually what the MAC makeup artist that did my makeup on New Year’s Eve used on me for that evening. The lipstick had been sold out for a while but as soon as I saw that it came back, I picked it up right away! I’ve also decided that I want to do a little bit better with regularly wearing lip colors and that also includes lip liner. This Boldly Bare color is a great nude lip liner and I love how it looks with Myth!
MAC Paint Pot in Painterly // I’ve gotten to really like wearing an eye primer and I ran out of the Urban Decay one I was using, so I bought this as a replacement. I’ve seen several people use this on Instagram lately and it’s totally worth it! It’s super smooth and helps your eye shadow wear so much longer. You could also wear this as a “no makeup” cream shadow to help neutralize redness on your lids, throw on mascara and be good to go.
Beautycounter Red Color Intense Lipstick // With all of this snow and the gray days, I needed something bright, and this Beautycounter lip color was IT! I wore it to a super casual girls’ get together with a sweatshirt and it was the perfect statement lip. I think it’s going to be my go-to dress up summer color and I can’t wait to get more wear out of it.
Beautycounter Recovery Sleeping Cream // I’m going to talk more about this product next week as my “mask of the month” but it’s great for hydration and making your skin feel great the next morning. I actually like this one on nights that I use my GloPro because I really feel like I notice the difference in the texture of my skin in just a night or two!
