I hope you all had a great weekend! We had a wedding to go to on Saturday and then celebrated the boys’ birthdays (for a second time) on Sunday. People always say how lucky we are to have both boys born in the same month so they can share birthdays. Yeah okay, about that…no way! Kudos to you if your kids are actually good at sharing their birthdays but there’s no way that’s happening here. They are so possessive over their birthdays, there is no sharing and I probably should have gotten two cakes yesterday, and I’ve still got my fingers crossed that Dylan doesn’t put 2 and 2 together that Jackson gets a big friends party and he didn’t get that.
Now, onto holidays we can share! I’m actually looking forward to celebrating Valentine’s Day with both of them this week. We did some cute valentine cards for school and, of course, I got them cute little shirts for the holiday. I’m a sucker for any and all holiday tees at GAP and Old Navy, they always have the best. I also made these spring funfetti blondies for the holiday, just using Valentine’s Day M&Ms and sprinkles. They were so good, I’ll actually probably do these for St. Patrick’s’ Day too with different colors!
Clint and I really never do much for Valentine’s Day, so making it a family thing seems to work better for us and since things are pretty casual around here, we’ll probably do an easy dinner and relax a bit.
I like the idea of at least trying to dress up a bit for a “holiday” dinner at home, and I thought these cute Dress for Cocktails Bow Earrings were a flirty little touch to a Valentine’s Day outfit. They would also be a fun gift for spring birthdays for friends, as they come in so many colors. If you head over to Instagram tonight, you’ll see a giveaway from our Mommy Monday group for a pair of these in the color of your choice!
See how the other mamas in this group are styling these fun earrings:

I also have to tell you how much I love this Mirth Caftans top. I’ve worn it open as a jacket or like this with jeans (or shorts when we were in Florida). I’m kind of obsessed with everything they make and you’ll see another one of my favorite dresses coming up here on the blog pretty soon!
Have a great start to your week!
