When I tell someone I work from home, I often get the reaction “Ah you can stay in your pajamas all day, that’s awesome!” Well yeah, it would be awesome if I could actually stay in my pajamas all day and still be productive. Since that’s literally never the case, it’s not as awesome as it sounds. I don’t know about you but I’m definitely more productive when I’m dressed to work!
I make it a constant goal to get dressed every day, and have that NOT mean just putting on workout clothes. Yes, I workout just about every day but I’m working to do that in the mornings so that I can put on real clothes and move on with my day, prepared to go to lunch with Clint, run errands for clients or just pick the kids up from school without looking like I just rolled out of bed. Does that happen every day? No way. But it’s still something I’m working on and want to get better at.
To get work at home outfit ideas for everyday, I find myself often stalking my friends at Ferne Boutique on Instagram. At this time of year, they always have such great cozy basics like the sweater and jeans I’m wearing in today’s post. These jeans are super stretchy and comfy and I love the button-front. And THIS SWEATER is so cozy. Honestly, it’s the perfect sweater with jeans or leggings and I’d also love to find a pencil skirt to wear it with for meetings or dressier days.
My style bounces around between cozy classic and a little eclectic from time to time, so stay tuned for the next style post for “Work at Home Wednesday” later this month to see a completely different look that’s also very “me” for a workday.
