I’m a big prep person. I love getting ready for things like vacations (making lists, outfit planning, dinners, etc.) but hate the aftermath (i.e. unpacking). Lately, I do have to admit that I’ve over scheduled myself a bit. I came home from Charleston, had a hair appointment the next day (which is a 1.5 hour drive away), a big client event this week and lots of ongoing projects, proposals and work in general. Plus with school coming up, I’ve put a bit of unnecessary pressure on myself to be kindergarten-ready, as well as ready to move Dylan up to his next classroom.
I promise you that it’s less of a complaint but more of a disbelief that life is as busy as it is. I’ve been warned that this doesn’t change, so I might as well stop talking about it. I’m just doing my best to be thankful for the busy times. Thankful for the good schools and thankful for the time that I do have to be present and prepared for all that we have ahead of us. It’s a lot but it is SO exciting.
This top was on my try-on video last week, and I also wore it in Charleston over the weekend. I love how versatile it is and I thought it was perfect with these blue striped pants. The pants, by the way, are a ridiculous steal and really worth the purchase. They come with a belt that you can tie into a bow, but it didn’t work with this top. I did buy this tee to tuck into these pants and wear with the belt, which I think is going to be super cute (I’m planning to wear it next weekend for a dinner date we have with some friends).
The necklace is actually a teething necklace. I wore it while traveling to Wyoming last month to give Dylan something to do while we were on the plane and it worked amazingly well. I also actually think it’s a cute necklace so I’ve found reasons to wear it during the day when I’m sans baby.
