Summer Stripes

Happy Monday! I hope you all had a great weekend. It was such a beautiful weekend here and we spent so much of it outside. Clint and I went on a fun date night on Saturday where we had a picnic dinner at Dow Gardens, which is a botanical garden where we live. I randomly learned about the event on Facebook and we thought it would be something fun and different to do instead of just going out to dinner.

So is there ever such a thing as owning too many stripes? I hope not because I just keep finding striped pieces that I like. Tuckernuck recently sent me a few spring/summer pieces and this dress is one of them, and it’s quite possibly my favorite (you’ll see more soon!).

I’m totally late to the game on the off-the-shoulder trend and I really didn’t think it would work for me while holding Dylan, chasing Jackson, etc., but this striped off-the-shoulder dress is one of the pieces that changed my mind. It is really lightweight and it stays in place SO well without being tight or uncomfortable on your arms.

This necklace (which is unfortunately not available any more) is one that I bought from a store in Charleston, IBU Movement, last year. I wear it ALL the time and it was an easy pairing with this dress to make it a sort of casual brunch-y look. I’m looking forward to heading to the IBU Movement store in August when I’m in Charleston. For a similar look, check out this necklace and this one.

Stay tuned for more stripes coming your way this summer! Have a great week!

I love that you found an OTS piece that’s practical as well! It’s the one reason I tend to stay away from them, even though they’re super cute. This dress is so cute on you!
