Spring Florals

I hope you all had a great Easter weekend!

On Saturday we did our Easter egg hunt in the morning, which was crazy, as usual. That evening, you may have seen on my Instagram story that I modeled in the StyleComm Spring Fashion show. It was a fun little girls evening for me! I loved having Leslie do my makeup and wearing a couple of great outfits from Ferne Boutique.

I loved dressing up the boys in their little bow ties for brunch on Sunday and we got some more outside time together as a family. As weeks and days go on, I’m more and more excited to see how well Jackson and Dylan get along. Jackson helped Dylan pick up a couple of eggs at the egg hunt, and then he helped him “find” his not-so-well-hidden Easter basket. It was all super cute. And now I’m exhausted.

It was such a busy weekend and I have to say that I’m glad to have another holiday behind us. They’re always fun but damn, they are a lot of freaking work!

Onto a new week. Today, I’m starting a collaboration with three other Michigan-based bloggers, who I’m excited to introduce you to. We’re going to be getting together every so often to share how each of us styles a specific trend. This time, we are all showing a different way to wear florals for spring.

I don’t usually do a ton with patterns, but I’m trying to be a little more adventurous with my fashion choices so I liked the idea of having to look for something floral. I went to Ferne Boutique and found this pretty dress that I think would be really versatile for spring and summer. It’s flowy and light with a flattering fit (no Spanx needed with this one!).

When I was working in an office, I could have gotten away with wearing this during the summer as shown, but if you need to cover your shoulders, it looks great with a blazer. I also think this would be great with flats for daytime and heels for date night.

See how Lilly, Allie and Priscilla are all are styling their spring florals:
