It’s funny how that pesky travel bug works its magic. When we got back from Park City I was exhausted and had so much to do to catch up and I’m pretty sure I said “we really do not need to travel for awhile.”
Well, that lasted about two weeks. And then that darn travel bug came back and I’m really wanting to plan a little Spring weekend vacation.
As much work as it is these days, I really do love traveling. I like getting away, doing things that are different from our usual routine, seeing friends and, of course, the food. Our trip planning si always highly driven by where we’re going to eat. Please tell me that’s not just us, right?
For this month’s Mommy Monday, our group is partnering with Vera Bradley to share some of our favorite travel pieces that you’ll want to check out as we get into the busy Spring/Summer travel season. I’ve had such good luck with Vera Bradley’s travel pieces, including the jewelry organizer and duffle bag I already own that I was excited to add a couple new things to my collection!
I always need a good carry on bag or what I’d call a “front seat” bag for a road trip. This is the bag I tend to use for my laptop, easily accessible snacks for the kids, my wallet and just anything else I’d like to have within arm’s reach while traveling. This Keep Charged Triple Compartment Bag immediately caught my eye as the perfect bag for this. As the name implies, it has lots of awesome compartments, perfect for your laptop and other necessities. It also has a portable lithium ion battery that will give your phone a full charge. I loved this option and I think it’s going to be perfect for road trips. From a mom perspective, this bag also works perfectly for carrying around baby essentials. I just throw my diaper pouch and a changing pad in there and I’m all set!
Kid stuff tends to take over my bags pretty quickly, but I have to have something that’s just mine and for that I chose this Medium Zip Cosmetic Case in this really fun Streeterville Cha Cha print. I use this for extra contacts, floss, lipstick and the few other things I need for myself when we’re traveling. Because I almost ALWAYS choose a black bag, I thought this print was really fun and it would make it easier to find in the depths and mess of my bigger bag. What I also love about this one is that, while it looks like it is embroidered or fabric, it is actually smooth. So you don’t have to worry about spillage ruining it. It’s really one of my favorite little accessories!
