While I spend a lot of my shopping time at my computer, it’s always nice to get out, get into a store and actually shop in person. I truly do love the social aspect of being in a store and working with a sales associate to pick an outfit or beauty products, and of course, I love the instant gratification of walking out with a shopping bag instead of waiting 3-5 days for UPS to arrive (although I never mind that either!). Plus, if I hadn’t shopped in person, I probably wouldn’t have even thought to try on these jeans.
I had been looking for a pair of cropped flares and saw this fringe pair on the denim display at Ferne Boutique, but was pretty sure they were a bit too wild for me. Laura, who is the owner at Ferne Boutique, told me that they were really comfortable and encouraged me to try them, and I was sold from the second I got them on! They are SO comfortable and the fringe adds a really fun element to the all black look that I tend to go for on a regular basis or even with a really simple white button-down shirt and some statement earrings.
This look is great for transitioning to fall with the open back shirt and fun bralette giving you a little bit of air (especially on a day like we shot this look when it was in the mid-80s!). But I’ll be wearing it all fall and winter long because it is so comfortable I almost feel like I’m in workout clothing when I wear it.
So, let’s talk a little more about Ferne! It is a really fantastic local shopping spot in Bay City, Michigan (if you’re not local, you can shop online here or check out their Instagram!). They carry lots of awesome, easy-to-wear pieces at a great price point. I especially like how comfortable the store is and there are new styles coming in all the time.
The store is having its grand opening in the new LARGER location on Washington Avenue in Bay City tomorrow from 4-7. Details are over on Facebook!
