I haven’t been changing up my beauty routine a whole lot lately. I’ve just been focusing on staying consistent with the products I have. The one thing I’m looking to do now is add a few more hair products that are a little bit more strengthening and nourishing to make up for the postpartum hair loss that I’m currently experiencing. If you all have any recommendations for that problem, I’d love to hear them!
Here are a few of the best summer beauty products that I’ve added to my routine recently:
Clarins Summer Lip Colors // I really like this Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil and keep the honey color in my diaper bag. It’s a great light gloss to put over any lipstick, it’s really smooth and moisturizing. They now have this product in two new colors, raspberry and red berry, both of which are a light wash of color. There are also a couple colors of their moisturizing Joli Rouge Brilliant lipstick that I love for summer: Tea Rose and Hot Fuchsia. This lipstick is also super smooth and moisturizing and is a lighter, more sheer wash of color!
Aveda ‘Sun Care’ Protective Hair Veil // I just added this product to my Aveda collection after my last hair color appointment when I had a few new highlights put in. I use it when I know I’m going to be outside a little more than normal, especially on pool days or really nice days when I plan to take a few walks with Dylan during the day. It’s meant to protect your hair from sun damage and dryness. You just mist on a few sprays of it before you head out into the sun (on damp or dry hair) and I use mine after getting my hair wet in the pool (if that ever happens). It’s super light, and you don’t even feel that you’ve put it on your hair. As with all Aveda products, this one smells really good.
Le Metier de Beaute After Glow Foundation // I’ve been using the LMdB Classic Flawless Finish Liquid Foundation for several months now and I really like the coverage and the feel of it. I went into Neiman’s for a restock and found out that they just recently launched their brand new After Glow foundation, so I gave that one a try. The After Glow foundation feels a little bit lighter to me and it gives a bit more of a dewy finish (I wear shade 2). It is also really moisturizing and I think it’s really perfect for summer! LMdB also just launched a brand new collection of brushes and I picked up the foundation brush to go with this because I really liked how the application with it looked – it’s a winning combo!
