It’s been a while since I’ve done one of these updates, so I really do have a lot of products to share but I’m going to spread them across a few posts so they make a little bit more sense together.
This update is a few of the latest and great hair and summer skincare products that I’ve tried. I’m consistently using all of these right now and loving all of them. Read on for the details!
Le Metier de Beaute Replenishing Daily Solution // Okay, if you want to talk about a moisturizer that works overtime, this is IT. I use this product in the mornings (and sometimes at night, depending on what else I’ve done as far as treatments, etc.) and it is really moisturizing, smoothing and I’ve noticed a major difference in the texture of my skin and I dare say it has made my skin feel more fresh and bright. Again, super light on scent, absorbs quickly and just works. Now, I know this is a bit of a pricey moisturizer, I get it. But you see a lot of people talk about La Mer and I will say, if I’m going to spend the money on a great moisturizer, this Le Metier de Beaute product is definitely my pick. The La Mer is lovely and really does moisturize, but this one just seems to do more work than just that. I’m a big fan, you know I love the brand and this product is another reason why!
M-61 SuperSoothe E Microdermabrasion Scrub // This scrub was sent to me by BlueMercury to try and I will definitely be buying it for myself once my current tube runs out. This is not just a light, little scrub, it is a serious exfoliator with really great results. The first time I used it, it felt really rough and I wasn’t sure I was a fan, but the next morning my skin felt so smooth, soft and fresh, that I was sold. I use this twice a week, in the evenings, followed by my serum and moisturizer. I’ve even let my husband borrow it and I think we’ll now be sharing this one!
Aveda Smooth Infusion Smoothing Masque // I sing the praises of Aveda’s Smooth Infusion product line on a regular basis (you know I regularly use and LOVE this) and this Smoothing Masque is another product worth the praise. You apply it to shampooed wet hair, like you would with conditioner, leave it on for 2-5 minutes and then rinse. I have very long, thick, wavy hair and I see nearly instant smoothing results with this. It is easier and faster to blow dry my hair (I still use this heat protectant and this finishing gloss), my hair is SO soft and the product really does combat frizz. You don’t use it with every wash, I wash my hair about twice a week and only use it one of those times. Love it. Definitely recommend this one!
Clarins Sunscreen for Face Wrinkle Control Cream // So there’s nothing I don’t love about the name of this product: Suncreen and Wrinkle Control. Count me in. I’m a little obsessive about sunscreen these days and one that hydrates and helps protect your skin from wrinkles and sun spots is a winner for me. This is a really light, smooth cream and has a very, VERY light sort of “sunscreen” scent.” I’ve occasionally put a BB cream over this for a little color coverage and even that combination is not too heavy for a pool day. This one is a staple in my pool bag and I think I’ll be applying it before heading out to fall activities and football games as things cool down in the coming months.
What are some of your current favorite beauty products? Tell me! I’m always looking for new ones to try!
