I’ve gotten quite a few new products recently , so I’m excited to share this month’s beauty update. I try to change up several things in the winter, so I plan to do a skincare post in the coming weeks, but here’s what else is new in my beauty drawer:
Prescriptives Foundation + Magic Powder // I used to wear a lot of Prescriptives makeup but when I moved to Florida, there wasn’t a counter near where I lived, so I started trying other brands. I was recently reintroduced to the brand and did a live chat with a PX Beauty Genius to create a Custom Blend Foundation. You can set up an appointment to do the same, and they’ll create something that gives you the coverage you want, along with making a perfect match for your skin. My order came with the Prescriptives Magic Powder, which is a liquid powder and goes on cool and light to set your foundation and finish your look in a very light and clean way – I just love it!
Burberry Beauty Complete Eye Palette in Mocha // I got this pretty palette for Christmas and I absolutely love it! It is perfect for creating a very natural, everyday look. I pair it with my Tom Ford eyeliner in Espresso.
Tom Ford Blush in Frantic Pink // During the summer I was wearing YSL Creme de Blush, which I really like, but I wanted to switch it up for a more matte look during the winter. I hinted that I wanted this one for Christmas and it magically showed up in my stocking. It’s a very soft pink and I really love and highly recommend it!
Frank Body Scrub & Body Balm // This is the latest addition to my “Sunday pampering” routine. I think you’re supposed to use it a couple of times a week, but I haven’t quite gotten to that yet. I got the original coffee scrub and it works really well to get you all scrubbed up. It’s a little scary to get yourself coated in this stuff (and leave it on for a while, which I was worried may stain my white shower, but it did not at all), but I love how my skin feels after using it, especially paired with the body balm. I’m pretty much up for anything that will help fight off winter dry skin and this is a great one to add to your routine!
Face Oils // As part of my winter skincare routine, which I’ll detail in a later post, I like adding face oils. My two favorites are Sjal Skincare Concentrate Anti-Aging Face Oil and Clarins Blue Orchid Face Treatment Oil. Both of them smell really lovely and I find that they really soften and moisturize my skin nicely. I usually just use one at night, followed by my regular moisturizer.
Current Favorite Nail Colors // Right now I’m loving an old standby, Lincoln Park After Dark, and a new one, Chanel in Desirio. I always default to dark colors in the winter, so the Chanel is a nice pop of color!
What are some of your current favorite beauty products? Also, I’m regularly updating my Beauty page in “The Shops” these days, so check back for new ones often!
