Hello Reno: Entryway Inspiration

So, y’all are probably tired of hearing me say this, but I swear I’ll be sharing more real life photos of the house very soon. Right now it is a bit of a mess and the last few steps are being taken to finish up the massive renovation project – so give me a couple more weeks and there will be lots to share! I’m sure any of you who have built a home, renovated a home or just moved to a new home totally understand how this goes.

In the meantime, I wanted to share a few photos for a specific area of the house that we have zero furniture for at this point: the foyer. Our house has a vestibule and a foyer, so we’ve got a couple of different spaces to work with. I showed you the vestibule wallpaper awhile back (here), and the foyer has been painted a pretty pale gray. I really want the foyer to set the tone for the rest of the house and I’m hoping to create a little vignette with a console table, mirror or piece of art (preferably a giant Gray Malin Prada Marfa photograph) and even maybe a chair (can I sneak a lucite chair past Clint on this one?). Then there’s the matter of a rug. In our Houston house we kept meaning to buy one but it never quite happened. I think it may be even more important in this house with the wideness of the space and the new potential for tracking in snow (any day now, or so it seems).
Some of my favorite resources so far have been: Lulu & Georgia, Pottery Barn, Serena & Lily, West Elm and One Kings Lane. And here are a few of the pieces I’m looking at:
