Weekend Inspiration & Links

Happy Friday! This week went by so quickly and I’m imagining that the days and weeks till the end of the year will continue to do the same. We are planning to get all of our Christmas decorations up this weekend and make a good dent in our Christmas shopping – although we have a sick baby again, so it is likely this will be a slow process. This year’s shopping is a little more fun since there are a lot of toys involved. This may make me sound (and feel) old, but I can hardly believe the things that are out there for kids now! Although Jackson is only going to be 10 months old by Christmas, I can’t wait for him to get new things to read and play with and see the look on his sweet little face when he “opens” them.

Here are a few links I’ve enjoyed this week:

  • Katie (from Modern Eve) and Meg Biram have gathered up some fantastic bloggers and created an amazing gift guide called To & From. It is really well done and has lots of great ideas including gifts for “The Girl who Likes Color” to “The Creative Kiddo.” I love it.
  • If you’re in Houston this weekend, check out the David Peck Collection sample sale at the showroom on Kirby starting tonight at 5:00 with a fab cocktail party.
  • My birthday money is kind of burning a hole in my pocket. I’m eyeing this key ring, these jeans,  and these shoes. What do you think?
  • I’ve kind of been craving a Dallas trip lately to see our friends and get a change of scenery. And after seeing photos of Number One / Le Jus on A Piece of Toast this week, I have yet another reason to make a trip.
