I’m very excited to introduce my sister, Maria, for a fun Thanksgiving craft guest post. Maria used to write The HSS Feed with me, but she now has a fantastic new site filled with lots of great crafts, recipes and beauty tips. Her domestic talent is pretty amazing and she has come up with a great craft for the upcoming holiday. Check it out below and make sure to go to her site for more great ideas – I can’t wait to see what some comes up with for Christmas!
Thanksgiving is, of course, a time to recognize all of the great things that you have in your life. Traditionally, many people go around the table and say what they are thankful for. I thought that it would be a really fun idea to change it up a bit to make it even more special. Once you have had all of the fruit from my “A Thankful Morning” post you can use the same “turkey” as your Thankful Turkey.
*At some point before dinner everyone can trace their hand on colorful paper and cut it out. Then they can write on it what they are thankful for. This way it is displayed for everyone to see. Instead of just saying it and having their moment pass it can be appreciated the entire night. If you are in a mood for saving things, you could save them for next year so that everyone can see what they wrote the year before.
*Simply secure the hand onto the turkey with a toothpick.
It’s a great display of appreciation!
Enjoy this time with your family and friends by taking a step back and looking at all of the wonderful things in your life!
